I am So proud of the strength and grit that I have built. A year ago stepping into the gym alone was pure anxiety. Today, I am able to train by myself and know that whatever I face in the gym I am stronger than the fear or pain. I am proud of this women. I am blessed that the coaches in my gym remember the first day I walked in to where I am at now physically and mentally and they back me an support me. I am proud of my Strengths and I am proud to continue to conquer my weaknesses. I am Beyond thankful for Iron Mongers, and the coaches that train out of there and my coach Rick Simmons for supporting me and believing in me. It is literally a family at this gym. Regardless of any other thing, they are United, supportive, and encouraging. I am so grateful to train under so many icons And I am So excited to continue to grow myself and this sport.
Toughest day of the week for me my back was hating me in these trap bar deads today but a big thanks to @valerospl_vss for adjusting my form 🙌🏻 finished off with some straight leg deads and ssb squats. Feels like a year ago already. A day I worked so hard for and was literally a monster the night before because I was so scared. But hands down one of the best moments of my life. The recent weeks my life has dramatically thrown me for a loop and the only thing keeping me going is knowing I did this, and I will do it again. There was A lot of doubt about why I started powerlifting… but this is the sport that I chose after I left training and showing horses. This is what makes me feel empowered, strong, confident, brave, and safe. There will always be hurtles that life throws at us. But being able to push through them like we do on the platform is the ultimate goal. Proud to be surrounded by so many damn strong people physically and mentally. Thank you to the powerlifting world that opened their arms to me without judgement. No better feeling than walking off that platform with a 15lbs clean PR, your coach proud, your friends supporting you. Best thing I ever did was find my strength. Inside and out. At the end of the day I am extremely proud of who I am and how I am. Can’t wait to continue this journey with my team. I have nothing to prove to anyone except myself. And that’s where the power lies. #teamironmongers
