Mike Gravitis Mike is the manager of Community TV for Northwestel, a regional broadcaster that commissions and creates dozens of northern film and TV productions. Mike has worked in both the film and music industries and his background includes marketing communications and agency work. A talented musician with his own band, Mike has made the Yukon home for five years. Mike has a unique perspective on the people and projects that comprise the local screen media industry. As the only northern broadcaster, he is positioned to help Yukon producers and screen media creators reach international platforms. Mike’s drive to see pan-northern partnerships formed is helping expand the calibre and creativity of screen media across the North. Mike has funded and facilitated many significant northern projects including Not About Me (Yukon, Dir. Kelly Milner), Polaris (NWT/Yukon Co-production, Dir. Kirsten Carthew), Sovereign Soil (Yukon, Dir. David Curtis), First We Eat: Food Security North of 60 (Yukon, Dir. Suzanne Crocker), and Aurora Love and Voices Across the Water (Yukon, Dir. Fritz Mueller).

Max Fraser @max_fraser_yukon Max is a veteran Yukon filmmaker and industry builder. His most recent production is the TV documentary Bond of Strangers – The Operation Husky Story, which was accompanied by an interactive website. The film aired on documentary channel, Knowledge Network and Northwestel TV. Max is the Yukon producer involved in the Yukon-Quebec-Ontario co-production of Polaris, a dystopian fantasy thriller filmed in the Yukon that is now in post-production. Development projects include the feature documentary Finding Joe Boyle, a Canada-UK co-production with partners in Belfast, Northern Ireland and Montreal, and a feature documentary about legendary author Jack London with writer-director Lulu Keating. In addition to many short films, Max has produced a two-part TV mini-series – the comedy-drama Broke Down Dawson Town – and the award-winning TV documentary Never Happen Here: The Whitehorse 9/11 Story. His varied career in the Yukon includes marketing and communications, book publishing, printing, politics, aboriginal relations and being a reporter/photographer for the Whitehorse Star.

Teresa Earle @sagafishmedia Teresa is a partner in Sagafish Media, a Yukon production company that is centred on screen storytelling in Canada’s North. She is a producer, writer and editor and her filmography includes the award-winning Journeys to Adäka, Aurora Love and the forthcoming Voices Across the Water which is a co-production with the National Film Board. She has two documentaries in production, five films in development, and various commercial, digital and creative projects at different stages. Her company invests heavily in development and their partners in development have included Northwestel TV, the CBC, National Film Board of Canada and Knowledge Network. With a slate of films in development, she’s venturing into international co-production. Teresa has worked in the private sector in Northern Canada in a variety of capacities. In addition to starting several businesses, her career path has included marketing, tourism, science, conservation, publishing, and arts & culture. She is a longtime freelance writer and author of the book, Yukon: A Wilder Place.

Brianne Bremner @gbpcreative Brianne is a producer, creative director and business manager with GBP Creative, a local commercial videography and photography company. Her experience straddles all sectors in the Yukon including industrial, business, non-profits, the arts, and all levels of government. Key clients include Air North, Northwestel, Aasman Brand Communications, Cossette, Yukon University and Government of Yukon. GPB Creative has earned awards from the International Regional Magazine Association and the Summit Creative Awards. With a background in health behavior change and social marketing, Brianne has years of campaign and community engagement experience. Prior to launching GPB, Brianne worked in health promotion and project management for Yukon government. An advocate of mental health, she harnesses her professional skills to support and volunteer for Yukon Anti-Poverty Coalition, Whitehorse Connects and Little Footprints Big Steps.
