It’s the unofficial end of summer but for me summer is a state of mind and that is where I’ll be. Enjoying my first weekend in the #queencity
September is for new beginnings. Yesterday I turned over the keys to my little beach house in Salt Marsh Point and I’ll be off to Charlotte on Saturday. It’s bitter sweet to be leaving the city I have called home for the past 22 years, the city where I raised my daughters, the city that got me through a divorce, a city that gave me the amazing humans that have made me who I am, the city that I reluctantly call home. It’s time to move on and start the next chapter. It isn’t good bye, it’s see you later.
My crew showed up tonight. @cyclebar_redmill has been home since April 2018. It’s brought me some of the most amazing humans I could have ever ask for, they gave me strength, courage, they helped fortify me, and they helped me get out of my comfort zone. This new chapter is exciting, different, and totally for me and I am grateful I had the courage to say yes! I will miss you more than you will ever know but it’s never goodbye! You are home! @l.v_fitness the playlist was fire and I knew it would be. You brought out all of the bangers that not only represent our friendship but my growth! I love you all and I can only hope that @midtownclt_cb will bring just as much!! See you soon!!
Emotions are high today so I’m going to go to my happy place and put my toes in the sand in a bit. Big changes require courage, faith, and a strong support system. So very grateful to have those things and so much more. It’s time and I’m ready!

Rack pull ups are great for pull up progression. Set up the bar so the arms are fully extended. Roll your shoulders back, bend your legs, and pull your chest to the bar. Extend the legs out straight to make it more difficult. Do 3 rounds of 8-12 reps.
Life is truly beautiful and it’s even better when you have a tribe of strong, independent, intelligent, kick ass women. It’s never to late to begin again. Fresh starts make room for epic lives. Live in a space of love and gratitude. Be content for what you have and where you are but strive daily to be better, to push harder, to get out of your comfort zone.
Roll the shoulders back, place forehead on bench, keep your arms close to your body, back flat, and aim to get the elbows to the ceiling. Explode pulling arms to the chest, pause for 1 second at the top, and lower slowly for 3 seconds. Do 3 rounds for 8-12 reps. Having the head supported keeps your neck in a neutral position, takes stress off of the lower back, and isolates your traps and lats to give you that sexy back for summer and great posture.
