We saw a tiger enter the bushes in a nearby area and were expecting it to come near the waterhole. So were waiting near it. After a while,this herd of chital deer were standing motionless, studying their vicinity, seeing towards one side with rapt attention, as if the tiger were right there in the thickets. There were no langurs around so we didn't hear any alarm calls,neither did the tiger come out. Maybe it passed from there, maybe they were alerting themselves to something else! We would never know!
